Brief Description:  rudder

Got back from the SC breakfast fly-in at Triple Tree and started on the rudder riveting. Started with the back plates and nuts. Was having some difficulty with my pnuematic squeezer settng the rivets. Wasted a lot of time messing with this but got it to work. Should have just grabbed my rivet gun and bucking bar. Then riveted the bottom rib and horn. Managed to use 470 rivets by sneaking in the head to my swivel flush rivet set to use as a bucking bar. Then moved on to rivet the counterweight skin to the counterweight rib. Did have to trim down the counterweight a mm or two as it was too wide to fit in the newly riveted skin/rib. Re-torqued the counterweight to 23 in- lbs.
Put the skins on the rudder-ready to rivet. I should probably order some pro-seal or see if anyone at the airport has a small amount for the trailing edge.
